So disappointed, I thought this would be an in depth book explaining multiple differ tray set ups and their purpose. However there are a total of 8 tray sets and the entire book is about 20 pages long. Primarially cosmetic tray sets. Definitely not what I need as a dental assistant just starting out. I was really hoping this would be a book I could keep in the sterilization area as a quick reference. However I will be sending it back today and looking for something with much more information.

We love this book. A teacher who was retiring gave me her copies of many of her favorite books for my daughter, and this book was among them. When my daughter chose it to read one day, we instantly fell in love with it. It rhymes, which is a feature we really love. It also has a lot of lesser known animals (bandicoot). My daughter isn't old enough to understand all of it yet, but the reference to some classic books (Dr. Seuss) is also a feature I really like. My daughter especially likes the part that goes, "The bears' love of books is completely outrageous. They licked all the pictures right off of the pages." It does work well for teaching caring for books. We bought this copy of the book for a friend's birthday party. My daughter is 3 now and really started enjoying listening to this book when she was about 2 and a half.

I found this at my local library and I ended up buying myself a copy! This is such a fun book! I love the rhyming text, and the illustrations are colorful and fun. Itâ€™s all about a zoo full of animals discovering a love of reading, so the message is great too. I plan on using it in my classroom over and over!

Very cute book about the animals at the zoo falling in love with books. I would have made the part where the animals did wrong behaviors more clear that it was wrong behavior, but maybe the teachers can cover that point after reading the books. Definitely a book every librarian and teacher should read to their students.

We love reading this to our 2 year old and think it will be an even better fit when she is 3-4 years old. We talk about how the animals learn to treat books so its a great lesson/example in how to take care of the books and not to mistreat them! That is why I think this book is a gem. It also exposes our chilren to new words and more unusual animals that you don't always see in the typical book.This book should definitely be added to your collection and is a nice out of the ordinary book with hidden humor and adult entertainment factor (we might as well enjoy it too, we have to read them!).

This is a wonderful modern take on the Dr Seuss type rhyming book. It is so beautifully illustrated and the story is fun and involving. My 5 year daughter loved it so much we donated a copy to her school as her classroom â€œbirthday gift.â€

Awesome! The rhyme and rhythms make it song-like, and the content compels you to listen/read for what comes next. Also, the illustrations are so full of movemt and meaning, some of which you have to look for. This book fosters a love of reading so effectively that when you are at the end, you want more! Perfect for children of any age!!

Love this book (third, I think, I've bought for grandchildren). Amusing, imaginative story and charming illustrations. A fun read.

What I liked so much about this book was that the writing was so tight and clean. The context was always present but the explanations were tidy. We all want to dump in everything we know, when we write, and here I learned about Royall, her time, the Second Great Awakening without feeling bogged down. A lovely find.

Anne Royal married (as the book tells) Major William Royal of the American Revolution, who was a member of our family. When I found that connection in doing my family history, I did a great deal of research on this remarkable woman, but because this was an off-shoot line, I did not dig as deep as the author of this book has done. The story of Anne Newport Royal is fascinating history. I have always thought what a wonderful film this story would be. Now, with this book, which is such a well-researched, fine telling of this amazing life story, I long to see it on the screen. This is made to order for the fine actress Sally Field, which would make it an award-winning film. If anyone reading this review might have any way of bringing this book to her attention, they would be doing her a great favor. It would be amazingly timely, and a tribute to a strong, feisty woman whose story needs to be told -- and in doing so, provide a great actress a powerful vehicle at this stage of her career.

I agree with the negative reviews that this book is more or less a 17-hour infomercial but it does have helpful tips or suggestions mixed in occasionally, and some of them are real gems which is why I still liked this book overall.This book would be so much better if it focused purely on the science and what behaviors can be modified with actionable tasks/steps people can take (i.e. changing the questions they ask themselves, writing goals on paper, joining support groups)The authors concept is this: Spend thousands getting your brain scanned, then spend hundreds on supplements he sells for your special kind of brain, and join a church.That last part is true and helpful--not necessarily joining a church but forming bonds and strengthening human connection. Have a support system.Of course changing your diet will help too, as most of his supplements work largely because of the forced dietary change.

If you purchase this book you will be hounded with emails to buy his overpriced brain vitamins. The entire book is about making your brain better by using his overpriced supplements, nothing more. Many pictures of brain scans and how he cures people through his supplements but nothing on how to make your life better on your own. Very boring and hard read. I cannot grasp all the positive reviews. He shows brain scan pictures and how after taking his vitamins the scan looks better then says if you cant afford a brain scan go to my website and take the two minute survey and it will tell you what combination of his vitamins to purchase and take. A TWO MINUTE SURVEY IS AS GOOD AS A BRAIN SCAN FOR A DIAGNOSIS? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Not to mention it advised me to take vitamins well over a hundred bucks a month. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

I have to admit that I was disappointed, I am surprised there were so many positive reviews!I enjoyed the science and review of brain neurophysiology in the book and the prospect of actually mapping progression/regression in brain health by taking a WebNeuro test as an alternative to the expensive SPECT scan. The book referenced Dr. Amen's "multiple" websites in which you can purchase the on-line WebNeuro test (important to know which program to follow based on the 'type' of brain you have), purchase the results and recommended program of the 'free' on-online ADD test, purchase his on-line training program, and purchase the very expensive (reportedly "very important") and multiple supplements! There is a free personalized report sent by Dr. Amen is based on an on-line test that depicts which one of the 16 brain types you are, which is not even discussed in this book! The self-help available in the book (and on the free on-line report) is not new...mental exercises (I do like Suduko!), positive thinking, meditation, clean eating, and exercise.

Reading this book felt like panning for gold during the gold rush. I would like to preface that I am not a psychology expert, but I am a psychology nerd and I enjoyed this book.I was immediately hooked by Daniel Amenâ€™s life-changing proclaimations about his SPECT research, however I soon came to realize heâ€™d refer me back to his other online material that required more monetary investment. Like what many other readers have mentioned, Dr. Amen heavily advertises his other resources throughout his book. Being the curious person that I am, I looked up how much a scan would cost ($3,500 and their clinic does not accept insurance). Fighting back the urge to get a scan, you can still utilize this book. I think the book offers various nuggets of knowledge, but you have to look for it in the river of text. I gained great understanding of the brainâ€”prefrontal cortex, limbic system, basal ganglia, anterior cingulate cortex, temporal lobeâ€”and how deficiencies in these areas may affect your brain. He also suggests remedies to these issues in an organized and concise method plan that Dr. Amen created. First off, the book is entitled â€œThe Tiny Truths,â€ but the real BIG truth that it illuminates and depicts is what the people in the Bible likely looked like.The stories of the Bible are broken down in easy to understand language for young readers. I would say that the reading level is likely high level 2nd grade/3rd grade and up. I have been reading the stories out loud to my small children.I was expecting it to be a full illustrated Bible. That it is not. It is selected stories of the Bible. Either way, I would recommend the book to anyone with small kids.

This Bible is one of our favorites! My kids were begging for me to read it every night before bed during our reading time, and when we would stop, would beg me to keep reading. Even after finishing the book, my kids asked me if there was another one, like a follow up to this one. Since that is not the case, to my knowledge, we just started back from the beginning. Such cute illustrations, to the point of giggles for everyone, but the wording is very clear and easy for small children to comprehend. I love, love, love that these illustrations show people of a darker skin color, which seems truer to Bible times! Absolutely recommend this Bible!

I am so delighted with this Bible! The stories are as engaging for small children as they are for adults and the pictures are stunning. The 33 stories selected by the editors provide children with a great overview of the Bible and the Christian faith. I am most impressed by the fact that this Bible did not omit the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ as so many other children's Bibles have done. Some Biblical subjects may be more challenging than others to explain to small children, but Christ's death and resurrection are crucial aspects of our faith. I applaud the editors for including this information. In light of this, it's puzzling to note that the editors didn't explicitly discuss the concept of sin. Understanding sin is also incredibly important. Without the knowledge of what sin is, it removes some of the color and context from the stories. Nevertheless, this book is well done overall. It'll be in heavy rotation in our home for years to come! I received a copy of this Bible from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

We are thrilled with this Bible. The intentional inclusion of women in the stories, the portrayal of the people, and the way the stories are told has made this my favorite kidâ€™s Bible.

I love it! Easy to read with my boys. Its great to have a Bible with diverse illustrations.

My 2 year old son loves this bible and I love that the stories always point to how much God loves him and all people. So good.

The Tiny Truths Illustrated Bible is a Zonderkidz (Zondervan's children's branch) storybook created by Joanna RivardÂ and Tim Penner. All scripture quotations in this are from the New Living Translation (NLT). The NLT is my personal favorite whenever it comes to children.Â This book is chronological, for the most part, and it is more paraphrased than word for word stories. The first half has creation, Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Saul, David, Solomon, Daniel, and Jonah. The second half has Jesus' birth, John the Baptist, Jesus' ministry, some parables, the crucifixion (which is briefly mentioned), resurrection, Pentecost, and Paul.The illustrations are adorable (after I realized the eyes do in fact have tiny black pupils and aren't just scary white circles), and some are really funny (like Joseph wearing black and white striped clothing when he was a prisoner). I'm really sad Esther and Ruth weren't featured, along with Job and some of the OT prophets! I also would have loved to see Lazarus, and some of the events in the epistles.I'm a little annoyed sin wasn't mentioned, and the part about the Nile turning into blood said, "First, God made the water in the river impossible to drink and all the fish in it died."Â It was just little things here and there that weren't 100% accurate. So this was more like Tiny (Partial) Truths.Regardless, this is a cute book and it's great for children of all ages.Â *I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review

Both she and Mel's pregnant widow, Jeanine, are determined to find the killer â€” will Janine go too far?Hillary meets Mel's replacement, Superintendent Brian Vane (who she has worked with before). At the same time, she and her team are assigned the Edward Philpott murder case...I followed the investigation as it unfolded looking for clues in the Philpott case. I was also interested in seeing if the person that shot Mel would be caught and made to pay for his crimes. There were several tense moments along the way. The whodunnit and why (on Mel's investigation) were mentioned in the story in advance, but the reader is left to wonder if the murderer would be caught. I did not figure out the whodunnit or why in the Philpott case until the big reveal.As I have with the other books in the series, I read this one straight through without stopping. It was a pleasant afternoon read and I recommend the DI HILLARY GREENE series to anyone who enjoys good, clean mysteries with a strong female protagonist!

DO Hillary Greene comes back from a two-month compassionate leave still morning the loss of her best friend. Crime however has not taken a break. This story keeps a brisk pace as the constabulary seeks to solve the murder of Hillary's best friend and a new crime victim found face down in his lovely garden. DI Hillary Greene has a reputation for clear thinking and intuitive focus on pinning down the relevant facts. I look forward to reading more novels featuring DI Greene. She is concise and admirable.

Another home run! I have been thoroughly enjoying the Hillary Greene series. I especially enjoyed Hillary confronting Gemma in the ladies room. Priceless. Can't wait for the next book.Nice job, Ms. Martin.

I can't. believe how Faith Martin can write one great mystery after another as she does! Can't wait to get to the next one. Wonderful, stories that read like the real thing, with all the characters feeling real. I have read and loved all 4 so far, and am eager to get right into another. These are well written and so good to read.

The astonishingly repetitive use of the word "grimly" - and variations thereof - was so distracting I almost quit reading the book about midway through but, then, I became curious as to how much more the author could possibly use it. I wondered if it was a dare. How many times could she use the word grimly (or grim or grimace)? I've not read any other books from this series so I don't know if this is just the author's signature word for the series, and it's just not my cup of grim tea. I can't speak to the merits of the book because, honestly, I was so distracted by this word that the import of the story grimly faded away. I watched the anime because I like Romi Park (voices Ganta) and was disappointed in how the series ended. I am glad to be reading the manga because there is much more to Ganta's story than what the anime provided. I know the series didn't do too well in Japan, but I am glad to have the opportunity to read the manga at least. It's graphic, deep, and has quite a bit of emotion. Recommended for people who like Tokyo Ghoul.

I have already read the whole series via my kindle, but I also wanted to have a physical copy. I don't read too many of these books, but this was my exception. Normally I feel like the art is rushed in these types of books, especially since they must have hectic schedules, but I thought that the art is amazing in this book. It seems like every image had a lot of time and effort put into it. Furthermore, considering I already read the entire series, I think that the story is exceptional as well.

I watched the anime before reading this manga. I couldn't find a place to read DmW for free, so I decided on a whim to give it a shot. So far, just like the anime. However, I am getting the feeling that the similarities are going to end real quick as the anime was a huge disappointment. I love DmW, and I really hope this turns out better than the anime.It's very interesting for those who love blood and Gore, and DmW has a lot of dark themes, and a very dark tone, so go into it with caution.The story follows Ganta Igarashi, trying to survive in the privatized prison, Deadman Wonderland, the cruelest prison in existence. Ganta has been sentenced to death, but soon discovers the power to wield his own blood as a projectile weapon. In fact, he is one of many Deadmen inside of the prison. So, all in all, a good start, concept, and so far, a great execution (pun intended). Can't wait to read more.

I saw part of the anime awhile back and thought it was mediocre. However, I was able to get volume 1 at a good price so I thought I'd try it. This is a gripping story about a corrupted prison. If you don't like that sort of thing, then you won't enjoy this. There are also some supernatural elements in here. The characters are mysterious and leave you wanting to know more about them. I love the undertones here of corruption (in this case, of a prison) and how people feed off of other's misery. Also of whether to follow a messed up rule and go unpunished or go against the current and be punished for it. There is more than meets the eye to this series. I will definitely be reading the whole series! Well, see you again!

I love this manga. It only took the first chapter and I was hooked. The quality of the book was pristine and the art is marvelous. The story line is quite humorous in the dark and morbid kind of way. My girlfriend went and bought the next 3 chapters as an early xmas gift after I bragged about this chapter. I would highly recommend this for those who like brutal manga.

I always liked the anime series, but I wanted to read the manga because there is always more to the stories. Deadman is no exception. While they did a great job of keeping the anime very close to the source material, the manga offers a lot more in terms of character development and depth.

This series is not for everyone but it sure is for me! I love the idea of a prison amusement park with a dark twist. I am not one for gore but I was able to read through this series no problem!

the story goes through the life of a school boy named Ganta.One day when he was in school and a evil man dressed in red killed all of his classmates and left him alive.when the cops came it looked as if Ganta had killed his classmate,he was framed.he gets sent off to a prison called deadman wonder land.and its up to him to escape .i can't tell you any more because that would spoil the story. pros:great story good character development good art style plot twist cons:none
