My wife needed this for her piano playing. It's written in comfortable large print and is a great addition to the already popular standard size Church Hymnal we have. Stays in place, and the pages and binding materials are very good quality.

I like being able to see the words better in this version as compared to the church book. I wish they made the font/text even bigger however. There is still room on each page (margins) in my opinion would be of better use to enlarge the text even more. Over all I'm ok with my purchase. It does seem over priced. I thought there was an economy of scale which made mass productions more economical to produce and ultimately cost. There are many thicker, less popular books selling for a lot less. For those who wondered about the book, it is very heavy so keep that in mind. I got an extra copy for the piano and it works great for that, staying open flat.

This is an excellent hymnbook for any church that still believes that the greatest church music ever written is that which has stood the test of time. All the old familiar songs are there and this big print edition makes them all very easy to read. Highly recommended.

Love this hymnal and exspecially since it is in large print. The only reason i gave this hymnal 3 stars instead of 5 is because when i purchased this book it cost me almost $34.00 and 2 days later i went back on Amazon to purchase the same book for my mother in law and it was only $24.00. From the same seller by the way. But overall it is a very nice hymnal. It has alot of the older songs and i still like those.

We have a group of us that like to stand around the pulpit to sing and the large print is a hit among the 30 plus age group. The teens that sing either don't need it or prefer to have their own hymnal. I was hoping the print would be larger but it is a good improvement over the regular print. We are playing instruments and that pushes us away from the hymnal to keep from hitting one another with the instruments, so we are a bit far away from the hymnal. The hymnal seems sturdy enough with gentle use it should last years. The spiral binding is nice to have the pages lay out and stay without holding, but it makes it easier for the pages to get torn out with use and accidental roughness.

This hymnal is the only hymnal my church will sing out of. The smaller ones are hard to read. This hymnal is spiral bound and is worth every dollar

Ten what? 10 stalks, that seems too much. 10 inches? Perhaps. 10 OUNCES? Dunno. Nothing in the method of preparation seemed to indicate anything either.

This story is beautifully re-told and illustrated for young children. It has all the mystery and magic of the original Grimm tale without the more unsavory elements (for example, the princes mysteriously disappear after failing to discover the secret of the worn dancing shoes instead of being executed). My son loves the hero at the center of the story and how he cleverly solves the puzzle and wins the heart of one of the princesses. My only teensy, tiny complaint is that the hero has a mullet--like full on business in the front, part in the back mullet. My son hasn't noticed and/or cared but I find it impossible not to stare ("why?") while reading this. That being said, I would still buy the book again.

I've said it in another review and I'll say it again: every home should have at least one Ruth Sanderson book in their children's bookshelves, and her retelling of 'The Twelve Dancing Princesses' would be a pretty good choice.The king of a prosperous kingdom has twelve beautiful daughters, but is confused at the state of their shoes each morning - each pair is worn through, although the door to their bedroom is locked. Where are the princesses going and how are they getting out? Many men are sent to guard the princesses with the promise that if they solve the mystery they may gain one of their hands in marriage, but all the young princes disappear by morning. But one day Michael comes to the castle as a helper to the gardener with the magical gift of an invisibility cloak given to him by an old woman on the road. Instantly smitten with the youngest princess Lina, Michael hides in the girls' bedroom under his cloak and watches them creep through a secret trapdoor, through glittering woods and across a vast lake to a castle... but how is a mere commoner supposed to inform the king of this and secure the love of his youngest daughter?Ruth Sanderson once again brings to life a beautiful fairytale with her glorious oil paintings, making this a must for any bookshelf, or lovers of fairytales or fine art. Despite the fact there are twelve princesses, the illustrations are never cluttered, and Sanderson captures water, material, hair and even glances between one figure to another realistically, yet with a whimsical and fantasy touch. If there is one slight flaw, her colours are less bright than in other books - they are mostly pale yellows, blues or greens that give them a slightly washed out look when compared to the vividness of her other books such as 'The Golden Mare, the Firebird and the Magic Ring' and 'The Crystal Mountain', but this is most definitely one of her best narrative retellings. 'The Enchanted Wood' in my opinion still contains her best illustrations, but the story is rather weak. 'The Twelve Dancing Princesses' is the best choice for a melding of both art and storytelling skills.Basically, girls will adore this, parents will love reading it, and if you take the time to persuade boys that is isn't a 'girly' book, then I'm certain they'll be intrigued enough by the mysterious midnight travels through the woods and the cunning of Michael to enjoy it too!

We've read many versions of this story, and this is one of our favorites. The story is more cohesive than some other versions, and we can relate more to the main characters in this one. The illustrations are superb. The elegant detail and rich depictions make it a pleasure to see as well as read. Our two little "princesses" are enchanted by this book, and it's requested frequently.

I would spend hours reading this as a child, and just ordered a copy for my daughter for Christmas- I don’t want to wait. It’s just as beautiful as I remembered! I hope she loves it just as much as I do!

I bought his book and another book having this same title and story by a different author. This was my favorite! I loved this book the first time and each time following that I have read it to my grandchildren. I had never read or heard of this story before. Love this version and the illustrations are beautiful.

Some of the stickers are really small, so some serious fine motor coordination is required. The child must also recognize 2- and 3-digit numbers. I will be giving it to my 7-year-old niece instead.

My husband told me about these books. His friend at work had one and he was fascinated. When I was searching for adult sticker books for him, I stumbled upon the kids version and thought it would make a nice gift. We purchased it for a 9 year old. It is perfect!There are ten designs in the book to be completed. Some are more detailed than others, but all are beautifully designed. The first one took about 30 minutes for the 9 year old, and I don’t anticipate they’d take much longer than that for the other ones.The pages are all perforated, so you can pull out the corresponding sticker page so you don’t have to flip back and forth between the design and stickers. You also can pull out the pages when done to display them if you want. The stickers are bright and colorful. They are cut precisely and we’ve had no issues with them not being the correct size. I would buy this again and look forward to using the adult sticker book we bought from this company as well.

My 6-year-old absolutely loves this book! It keeps him busy and quiet for a long time! I like that there is a bit of searching that they have to do to find where each piece goes. Kind of like a blend between a puzzle, a paint by number, and a sticker book! My almost 5-year-old loves these books too (he has a different one in the series) and he can do the pictures on his own he just takes a bit longer to find the numbers. I’ve since bought another one for a nephew and an adult one for my older two kids to share (they are 12 and 10) and they would probably be happy with the kids’ versions too I just didn’t want them to blow through them to fast! So fun!! Oh and every page is perforated making them easily removed from the book!

My kids absolutely love these sticker books. For reference, my son is 4 and my daughter is 6. My son has a pretty good attention-span for a four-year old. He finished 2-3 of these in about an hour. My daughter finished about 6 "paintings" in a few hours. What I love: helps with early childhood hand-eye coordination (you have to 'flip' the stickers around to get them in the right spot the correct way), and is an awesome learning tool for kids to practice their numbers. The numbers connect to the stickers, so you may have a sticker that is #45 and needs to go in the #45 blank spot. It can be hard for kids three and under to grasp this connection but is perfect for an advanced four year old, five year old, or six year old. The pictures end up looking really pretty as well!

I gave this to my ten year old son at Christmas. We're closing in on a month after Christmas and he has almost finished the book! To say he loves it would be an understatement. He does every page completely independently and greatly enjoys showing us the finished products. I can't remember the last time he actually finished a craft book like this.

Sturdy book - very vibrant. You can cut/tear out the pages for different kids but will need scissors to separate a couple of the groups of stickers into sheets as they used multiple pages for individual groups - but easy and simple to do. Will attach a photo of the back cover - that gives you a quick look at all 10 pages of stickers.

This is a great book! My 5.5 yo really enjoyed it, although he did get discouraged a few times when his fingers couldn't get the stickers to line up just right. It was the perfect addition to our road trip!

Well, my son got one of these books from Sam’s and it was AMAZING. He absolutely loved it. So a reward, I got him this one. I decided to see about saving a few dollars & got a “used” one. It had a couple stickers placed but that wasn’t an issue (I expected that). But for some reason the stickers aren't applying & saying very well at all. He still loves the book but get frustrated. Tape works for a few sticker issues but I think we are going to try glue in the future. I don’t know where the book was stored or if something affected the stickers or if this book was just a bad batch? The other book didn’t have any problems. I didn’t not contact the seller, figured it was my bad for trying to be cheap! 🤣. Again the 1st we got was awesome & we will buy more, this particular instance wasn’t great.

Love how this book is set up! I used this book for my Medication Aid class and am now using it for my Pharmacy Tech program. The amount of information you can find is so useful and this book has so many uses.

This is the 2nd time I have rented this book, the first time it was in excellent condition. I re-rented this and this book is in horrible condition. The front cover is about to fall off and it's wrinkled and stained.

good reference book for the class I teach

Needed this textbook for a med aide class. It was easy to use and helped me get through the course. Shipping was quick

No nice condition for a used book with the exception of the pages for chapter review missing for most chapters. Thank God, my instructor decided not to grade those. The book is rather decent for my CMA class. I actually us this book compared to my CNA textbook which wasn't worth the paper it was printed on
